(Vol , Nr. 675, In , presented in , pages , Indiana University Computer Science, ISSN: , ISBN: , Feb. 2009)

Abstract

This report describes the design of the ORCS simulator. The simulator can be used to perform InfiniBand congestion simulations to in order to assess the effective bisection bandwidth of a given InfiniBand network. It can also be used to simulate the influence of network noise to collective operations and arbitrary messaging patterns.
